Now the tournament FIFA World Cup 2022 has reached into   quarter final stage. 

Now total of 6 teams are in the fray .

Yesterday two matches were played .

In the first match Brazil played against Coratia and in another match Argentina played against Netherlands.  

Brazil Vs Coratia .
In this match Coratia stunned 5 times champion Brazil with a dramatic 4-2 penalty shootout win. 

Brazil - Croatia match ended in a 0-0 draw during the regulation time .

Brazil went ahead with a goal from Neymar in 105th  min. However in  the 117th min Coratia equalised through the goal from Bruno Petkovic   to make the score 1-1.

Match then went into panelty shootout where Coratia proved stronger .

Brazil’s dream of 6th World Cup crown was smashed on the 4th shoot out penalty .
It was a nerves shredding shoot out , Croatia cut the edge (1+4)& Brazil sank (1+2).
5th shoot out got  redundant , & Neymar chance for clinical strike never came out of arsenal.It was a strategic blunder not to start their penalty strike with Neymar .

Dominic Livakovic , Croatian goal keeper made 11 saves , a record in FIFA World Cup  2022.
Brazil earned 7 corner & fired 21 target shots , against 3&9 by Coratia   but failed to pierce defence line of Coratia .

Brazil player missed it first penalty  .
Coratia scored its all 4 penalty shoots .
Brazil once more missed when Marquinhos cracked in the left post   with this  Brazil was out of FIFA World Cup 2022 and Coratia advanced to the Semi Final of FIFA World Cup 2022 where they will meet Argentina in the Semi Finals . For Brazil,  the favourite , this is the fourth time in the last 5 world cups it has crashed out in the quarter final round .

Argentina Vs Netherlands.

Argentina beat Netherlands 4-3 in penalty shoot out to advance to the Semi Final of FIFA World Cup 2022.

After the scores were levelled at 2-2 in the regulation time of 90 minutes  and the extra time of 30 minutes Argentina  prevailed in the penalty shootout 4-3 and Messi's dream to win world Cup lived on .

Argentina with their 2 goal lead scored through Milano 35 min and Messi 73 min ( penalty kick ) looked as they are going to win easily but the course of the game Changed when substitute Weghorst entered into the field for Netherlands and soon headed a goal which initially looked a consolation goal however he took the game to the extra time by scoring yet another goal in the final minutes of the added time of the second half of the  game in a nicely executed free kick .

This only delayed the misery of Netherlands with goalkeeper of Argentina Emiliano Martinez saving two penalty kicks to send Argentina to semi finals with 4-3 win over Netherlands where they will meet Croatia.         

Today on 10th  December  , 2022  ( Saturday ) two matches  will be played .

In the first quarter final match Portugal  will play against Morocco , the match will start at  8.30 pm IST today .  

In another match which start  at 12.30 mid night France  will play against England  .
