To promote Tourism in the town of Nanital , Uttarakhand and give encouragement to adventure sports  a proposal was approved for the construction of artificial wall for rock climbing for which Kumoun Mandal Vikas Nigam has sanctioned around  Rs. 95 Lakhs for this purpose .

Initially it was proposed that this artificial rock climbing wall will be constructed at Snow View ,Nainital and even a site was also selected for this purpose but later on in  second thought it was found this site at Snow Views would have some difficulties and that if it is constructed somewhere in the heart of the town it will benefit more people and this facility could be availed by maximum of people including locals and tourists interested in this activity of rock climbing .

Keeping this in mind Mr. Dhiraaj Garbyal  , The District Magistrate of Nainital  directed to have this artificial rock climbing wall at DSA Ground , Nainital  and have asked the DSA , Nainital to provide a plot of land of the measurement of 15 into 15 Meters in DSA Ground , Flats , Nainital to  Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam   and on completion this artificial wall for rock climbing  it  would be handed over to DSA , Nainital for upkeep , maintenance and its  regular use .

The District Tourism Development Officer , Nainital has been asked by DM, Nainital to associate itself with this project for its early completion and handing over to DSA , Nainital on its completion .
